Is dots in the middle of the lower eyelid a new makeup trend? Genuinely curious if this is a thing I should be trying out . . .
try it out if you want to! makeup is for having fun, so have fun 😊
Business Insider has an episode about someone doing making purple this way.
dead snail is honestly one of the worst smells ever
Why do i want garlic shrimp now
Royal purple?
I’d like to see it in real life but I don’t think anyone would make the original way. Maybe some items survived which would still be cool to see but I want to see the fresh dye color too.
Fun fact, there's a guy who still produces the dye. Look it up on business insider's Why is it so expensive chanel.
The method of producing the dye from snails is actually still being kept alive today by, if I'm recalling correctly, a singular person. There's a video about the topic on RUclips.
I must say that I hope one day to have as much knowledge about paint’s as you! Really admire your and appreciate all you have imparted to us, especially the work you have put in to this talk. Thank you for your time
12,000 snails for one gram is insane 😳 but how much material could one gram dye?
Very small. I have read somewhere that a gram can dye a trim of one's clothing. One artisan rediscovered the art of making Tyrian purple and it is such a labprious process. This short video will give you a more in depth information, if you have time to watch it. ruclips.net/video/IVXqisH6VeM/видео.htmlsi=A557pQOKAOQZXFVp
I didn't know that it smelled so bad 😅😭😭
Very informative. Especially given that purple is one of my three favourite colours. Thank you
Poor animals never stoped using them like things. 😢😢We own them our lives and yet
No wonder perfumes are at high demands
Studied fine art and drawing in uni. Theory and practise. Swear that somepeople were using it still. The amount of unhinged behaviour from students and faculty...it was rough 😅
Stinking rich?
Nice
Oh, yes!
Interesting. What would be modern pigment substitute for this particular shade of purple? PR88?
Loved this video - found it so interesting and applaud his win and vision.
Very interesting thank you
Nice colour
I only used it once. I swear. I knew it was bad for me. It saved that painting from certain destruction by a drunken gallery owner. Almost indestructible.
Does using Liquin light gel change the way I clean my brushes. Something is causing the paint to really stick on the bristles. Normally I use turps or white spirits.
that metal implement is so cool! what is it called?
Love, love these paints!!
😅
I love the dots aka make up under your eyes ❤❤❤
Love it love it love it!! Your use of light is magnificent!!
I didn't get a response from my question a year ago. ..... This is a tremendous help. I want to do graphite portraits on an archival surface. What's the best product to use to spray a clear coat of something safe on my graphite portraits for a protective layer while not changing the dark/light values. I want to really seal up my drawings so they won't need glass frames and will be archival for generations to come.
I would love to try these! On my list. At home in Yavapai county. 😮😎👍😍
❤❤❤ great product.
Thank you for using captions and changing their color when needed.
Mix Turners Yellow with Naphthol Red and a smidge of white for a truly shocking surprise. (*As a side, Turners Yellow so far seems to be an affordable alternative to Genuine Naples and Cad Yellow. I'm not too keen on the greens it creates, but for paintings where light is scattering off of buildings, it's a dream.) Also, if you're reading Micheal, do consider releasing Potters Pink. Some of us collect dirty, earth pigments like Pokemon Cards.
Love how he smells all the paint 😅
Brilliant, at last! some one who actually deserves a prizes.
Great stuff. This mans got good taste. Like, Late 19th century style. I love the work
Lead white is the future of oil paintings. The point is that there is no need to use as much of it as before because there are so many other options to create effective binding pigments. If too much is used that results in cracking. If you use walnut oil and lead white that should be fine as long as you keep the painting elsewhere and sleep elsewhere while it is drying. Also make sure there is an open window somewhere and then you are ok.
Don’t forget van Gogh and his brother suffered from veneral disease which would not only be depressing but fatal at the time. Treatments included using mercury could only make things worse.
I think I will be moving onto these soon.
Every time I hear a "recipe" like THAT I think who? Who was the first person to DO that and for God's sake why? You don't just accidently stack lead coils, over vinegar and suspend it over horse poop, and wait... Oh look, pretty paint.
Love this ❤interview
Aaaand now the lead is in our tampons 😅
spell binding yet i couldn't help worrying about the no ear protection!
Such an honor for me to hear from Roman Szmal in person. I’m just watching and immediately touched, and also excited in a same time. Greetings from here in Indonesia! And I wish I be able to try out the Aquarius set of watercolor asap ❤️ thank you for the informative and amazing video!
Really informative, lovely interview, thank you for access to such beautiful colours
This was such a great interview with John Cogley, his explanation of the history of the company and his obvious enthusiasm for the job he does and the chemistry and science behind all these wonderful colours was just amazing. Thank you to everyone involved.
Titanium & zinc whites will never replace the qualities that make lead white special. Today, we don’t have to mix our own paints. Cadmium’s are also incredibly toxic. But again, if it’s already bound with oil in a tube, and you’re not a messy painter, it’s safe to work with 🤍
Zhal ke bule kam ke kya paise
Really glad I found you! Inspiring, funny and informative Just starting my Screen printing journey. English Artist from London, now based in Andalucia Spain. Like you, I’m impatient, painting is great but takes too long😂 last time I did any screen printing was at school! C. 1986! Saving all your videos ♥️
You forgot to mention leaded gasoline. Veritasium has an amazing video on it and the horrible consequences.
I used to use zinc white an oils and I used to get nauseous and I couldn't figure out why until I realized it was the paint and had to stop using it. Then someone told me to use titanium white which was so much brighter and did not affect me at all- and the rest as they say is history! 🤔😳🤩🤗🤍🌹
And now in tampons!
Great video; very interesting artist and wow, what an evocative subject - wonderful paintings! I remember seeing an MA show at the Royal College of Art some years ago and the one piece of work that struck me was a beautiful drawing of a 1960's house that make up the ubiquitous housing estate that Andrew's work depicts. They (the estate) speak volumes about the UK. Thanks Jackson's, and well deserved Andrew Torr!
